Seeff Achiever Agents Go to Zanzibar

Category Area Focus

There was magic in the air, and of course, in the iconic, crystal-clear waters of Zanzibar. The agents regale with delight the tales of their recent spoils for making the Seeff name proud.

At the recent Seeff Annual Awards Ceremony, agents took home a plethora of awards. For all their hard work and dedication, Licensee Paul Kruger gifted them, along with some of the management heroes, with a spectacular trip to Zanzibar - another coastal retreat outside the one we get to call home.

Recapping on their island escape, the Seeff team reflected on how friendly the locals were - from landing at the airport to arriving at the resort, the staff were happy to help. All the people from Zanzibar were so warm, loving and welcoming.

The utter beauty of the surroundings was breathtaking, and cherished memories were made. Basking in the sun with delightfully sandy toes, tasty cocktails were sipped, and a noteworthy bottle or three of Kilimanjaro Premium Lager savoured. Agents loved the immaculate beaches, with the warm, inviting Indian Ocean - in all its glorious hues of blue.

Further highlights of the trip included snorkelling with wild dolphins, boat trips, paddling, the delightful dishes, and exploring old colonial architecture in Stone Town - with its Arab, Indian and European influences. The climate was warm, in true island fashion.

Relaxation and recuperation were the order of the day. A lot of the agents remarked on the joys of having "me" time without their constantly-ringing phones (we know they work hard - Monday to Sunday they don't have the luxury of an entirely-off day). They got some well-deserved rest and had a blast, sharing humour and deeper moments, getting to know their colleagues on a more personal level outside of the work environment. Each individual had something to offer that added to the experience.

One of the agents encapsulated the beauty of travel, in that "travel takes us out of our comfort zones and inspires us to see, taste and try new things. It challenges us, not only to adapt to and explore new surroundings, but also to engage with different people and cultures, to embrace adventures as they come, and share new and meaningful experiences with loved ones."

There was an unspoken camaraderie while being on the trip, bonding on an adventure, even while stuck in an airport in a foreign country for a whole day. The holiday almost started with a plane that flew away minus a passenger... but the Seeff family doesn't leave anyone behind. They stuck together, like families do, and held the fort till the forgotten passenger was reunited with them.

Members of the team say that of the things they love most about working at Seeff - besides this marvellous reward for their efforts - is that they value each other's support and positive encouragement. It's like being a small gear in a big machine, in a company that creates a culture of service excellence, and knowing that there is always someone reliable, professional and highly qualified at your side should you need assistance in a difficult situation.

It's also about knowing you have such a strong brand behind you, while still being valued on an individual level. You are allowed to be who you are in an organisation with diverse people with different personalities.

While everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission, they care about you as a person and your professional growth, as well as supporting you and understanding when you're going through a difficult time. There is a love for going to the office where colleagues feel like friends and family.

Thanks to the team for all your inspiring words to write this article.
