Sandbaai lies on the coast at the entrance to the Hemel-en-Aarde (Heaven and Earth) Valley. It is a fast-growing residential area in the greater Hermanus with an eclectic mix of residential and holiday homes. A number of preschools as well as the Curro Hermanus Private School is situated in Sandbaai. An industrial business centre that is home to a vast variety of business lies adjacent to the Whale Coast Mall, making Sandbaai extremely well-positioned for everything one could need. The Sandbaai beach is dotted with rock pools and coves and provides safe swimming at low tide. A wonderful meander has been built along the Sandbaai shore allowing residents to take full advantage of the seaside.
